Meet the Active Life Chiropractic Team

Kayla

Kayla is happy to answer all of your questions.I am originally from Mandan, and after working and attending school in Big Sky, Montana for five years and living in Spain for a year, I moved back to good old North Dakota to be near my family.

I met my husband two and a half years ago and we just got married this summer at Fort Lincoln State Park. In my free time I like to read, hunt, do medical transcription, and spend time with my family. I have been working at Active Life Chiropractic ever since Dr. Sara and Dr. Doug offered me a job after I waited on their table at a nearby Applebee's nearly two years ago!

At that time I knew nothing about chiropractic. They took me under their wing and taught me all about how chiropractic allows the body to heal itself and chiropractic's incredible health benefits. Now both my family and I are regular chiropractic patients.

I love my job here at Active Life, as it allows me to be a part of improving the quality of life of so many people in our area!

Jess

Jess will be assisting the doctors with all of your healing needs.Hi! My name is Jess. I started working with Dr. Sara in November, 2005 while she was working in Mandan. At that time Dr. Doug was still in chiropractic school and they had plans of opening up their own clinic in the future.

Then, in November of 2007 I got the opportunity to help them get Active Life started. It's been the greatest experience of my life! Here I am an Office/Financial Manager. What that means is that I help in all aspects of the clinic and specialize in the insurance and billing department. I organize outside promotions and make sure our patients' insurance claims get paid.

The most rewarding part of my job is getting to see everybody get results from their treatments and getting to know them on a personal level.

Getting to know me....I grew up in New Salem and now live in Bismarck. I have 2 boys, Matyas-5 and Jacoby-1 1/2. When I'm not at work I'm enjoying my time with them. Matyas was in soccer and baseball this summer and he loved it!

I enjoy scrapbooking, gardening, cooking, playing with my kids...and my job! I'm still working on getting the nerve to go hunting for the first time. :) I am grateful for the opportunity to help everyone who walks in our door. Let us help you too!

Dr. Weigel & Dr. Ness Asks some important questions of interest to Bismarck residents - Chiropractor Bismarck Dr. Weigel & Dr. Ness Asks...

How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Bismarck folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
